Lou is a collaborative, creative and strategic digital marketing leader, skilled at building alliances, recruiting teams, launching online brands, creating raving fans that fuel top-line growth. He specializes in creating long term channel partnerships that exceed expectations, and building a culture of optimism and success, having been part of the founding team of four companies and knowing first-hand the little things that create success (or adversity) over time.
Lou has a proven track record of building and growing online financial brands and client bases. As CMO, he helped build two public companies from scratch, grow six companies that were acquired, and five that made the Inc 500, with multi-year growth of 5x – 20x. His specialty is out-performing unit production at industry-low acquisition costs. Career highlights include Interfirst, a $36B retail/wholesale mortgage lender, M1 Finance, the $7B robo-advisor app, Insureon, the pioneering online SMB insurance brokerage, and optionsXpress, from founding team to IPO, and through its later $1B acquisition by Charles Schwab.
A player-coach at work and on the field, he is also a mentor, yogi, tennis player, hubby and father of three boys.
